Polish online marketplace Allegro announced that it generated 2.6 billion euros in sales in 2024. This was an increase of 7 percent compared to a year earlier. The company’s gross merchandise volume (GMV) increased 10 percent, to 15.3 billion euros.

Allegro is an online marketplace from Poland, which was launched in 1999. Since then, it has grown internationally as well. Last year, it launched in Slovakia. A year earlier, it also launched in the Czech Republic. Eventually, Allegro wants to become a dominant ecommerce player in Europe.

Adjusted EBITDA of over 718 million euros

In 2023, the company generated a revenue of almost 1.8 billion euros in Poland alone. Now, the company has released its financial results for 2024.

Compared to 2023, Allegro’s adjusted EBITDA increased 18% last year

Last year, the marketplace’s adjusted EBITDA reached 718.8 million euros (3 billion Polish złoty). This was an increase of 18 percent compared to a year earlier.

Double-digit GMV

In 2022, Allegro reached the milestone of a GMV of 10 billion euros. And last year, that increased further to 15.3 billion euros. Excluding Amazon and Russian marketplaces, Allegro and Zalando are the only European online retailers with a double-digit billion GMV.

Outlook for 2025

The company has also already announced its expectations for 2025. It expects a GMV of 16.7 billion euros and a revenue of 2.85 billion euros. It wants to accelerate its international growth in the second half of this year, while also increasing its advertising revenue.
