Amazon has added a new shipping option for merchants in its five largest European markets. Sellers shipping from China can benefit from fast delivery at no additional cost, according to Amazon. The solution will later be available for domestic shipments as well.
FBM Ship+ is designed for sellers who handle their own order fulfillment on Amazon. This is done under the Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) label, as opposed to Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA).

Amazon presents FBM Ship+ as “a fulfillment solution for your seller-fulfilled shipments that upgrades your delivery dates to expedited shipping without all the extra costs of paying for faster shipping”. Sellers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom can now offer a similar delivery promise to customers without using FBA.
‘Expedited shipping without extra costs’
Merchants who want to use FBM Ship+ must register, purchase shipping labels from partnered carriers, and ship within one business day. Online shoppers will be presented with faster delivery dates for eligible products, boosting sales.
Cashback
Amazon says FBM Ship+ makes shipping “faster and more affordable than ever”, as it offers merchants cashback to help cover the costs of shipping faster. “The more you ship, the more you earn. Plus, you will get increased account health protection and protection against claims for late deliveries when you ship on time.” Another benefit Amazon mentions is that online shoppers will receive more accurate delivery dates based on the carrier’s performance.

Rollout
Amazon refers to this as a pilot, currently running in its five top markets in Europe, as well as in the United States and Japan. However, the ecommerce giant has already indicated that FBM Ship+ will be rolled out to other regions, and that the service will eventually be available for domestic shipments: “We will roll out FBM Ship+ to more stores and for domestic shipments over time”, the company states on Amazon Seller Central.
Easy Ship
Earlier this year, Amazon introduced Easy Ship in Europe, a pickup service that serves as an alternative to both FBA and FBM, especially aimed at SMEs selling on Amazon. The company also encourages European merchants in other ways to improve and speed up their delivery times, such as by recently reducing default handling times.
