Online marketplace Amazon is introducing a shipping solution called Easy Ship in Europe, for sellers in the Netherlands and Poland. According to the ecommerce giant, the solution helps sellers ship their products faster, smoother and more cost-effectively.
It is not the first time that the online marketplace has introduced a shipping solution for sellers. Fulfilment by Amazon is a popular method of shipping orders. A simpler, and cheaper option to ship products is Easy Ship. The solution has already been introduced in other markets, but is now entering Europe for the first time with the launch in Poland and the Netherlands.
Pickup at chosen address in Poland
Polish online sellers can schedule a shipment pickup from a chosen address for 3.39 Polish zloty (0.80 euros). This means that sellers can have orders picked up from their store. This makes shipping orders a lot easier, especially for SMEs that are selling on Amazon.
Dutch sellers can drop off their shipments at designated locations from 2.33 euros. It is unclear what kind of locations these will be and how easy to reach they are for Dutch merchants.
‘Our goal is to simplify day-to-day operations of local entrepreneurs’
“We continuously look for ways to empower local entrepreneurs on their path to success with Amazon.pl. Our goal is to simplify their day-to-day operations and optimise logistics, which can be a challenge for many of them. That is why we are introducing Easy Ship. It is another milestone in our mission to help Polish entrepreneurs unlock their full sales potential”, says Janina Rampp, Head of Marketplace Amazon Poland.
Quick delivery
Parcels that are sent with Easy Ship will be selected for express delivery by InPost in Poland and DHL in the Netherlands. End customers will receive real-time shipment tracking, while the shipment is also insured at no extra cost. Merchants can register for the solution in Seller Central.
