This week, fulfillment company Monta has announced further international expansion. The company will open fulfillment centers in France, Italy and Poland. The new locations will be operational by this time next year.

Monta was founded in the Netherlands in 1999. In addition to its fulfillment services, it also offers warehouse management software to ecommerce companies. In 2022, the company was acquired by DHL. As a result of that acquisition, Monta was able to accelerate its international expansion.

Expansion into 3 countries

The company already has fulfillment centers abroad. At the end of 2023, Monta expanded into Belgium; before that, it was already operating in Germany. In May this year, it also launched its first fulfillment center in the United Kingdom. In total, it now has a network of 18 fulfillment centers.

Monta wants to support customers with their cross-border sales

Now the company is announcing new locations in France, Italy and Poland. With these, it wants to support existing customers in sending their cross-border sales. It also hopes to attract new customers in these markets.

Operational next year

In setting up these new centers, it will draw on DHL’s local expertise . Operations are starting up now. It says the new locations will be fully operational by October next year. This is just in time for the busiest period for ecommerce companies.
