Ecommerce in Europe estimated to be worth 765.6 billion euros
According to the report, the (B2C) cross-border ecommerce market in Europe reached 275.6 billion euros (excluding travel) in 2024. This was 36 percent of the total online market, meaning that ecommerce in Europe reached an estimated worth of 765.6 billion euros in 2024. This in turn, is an increase of 2.1 percent compared to the previous year.
Top 500 generated turnover of 69.5 billion euros
Additionally, the report looks into the 500 biggest cross-border sellers in Europe. The total turnover of these 500 cross-border B2C brands reached 69.5 billion euros last year. This is an increase of 39 percent compared to a year earlier.

When looking at product categories, jewelry and luxury are at the top with a share of 43 percent. It is followed by garden and DIY, with a 9 percent share.
Top 10 remains the same as in 2023
Just like in the previous year, Ikea was the biggest cross-border seller in 2024. Again, it generated a cross-border turnover of 5.2 billion euros. The top 10 remained the same as in 2023.
