Between this year and 2028, Amazon is planning to invest 5 billion euros in Poland. This is in addition to the 10 billion euros that the company has already invested in the market between 2012 and 2025. Part of this investment will go the a new fulfillment center.

Poland has risen to the 20th place in the world’s largest economies. Ecommerce in Poland has also increased rapidly. In 2025, according to the Polish Chamber of Commerce, online turnover in Poland reached 21.5 billion euros. This was an increase of 6.8 percent. It is expected that online sales will increase this year as well, with around 7.1 percent.

According to other research, 75 percent of Polish consumers shop online at least once a month. This indicates that online shopping has become a habit for many consumers. And 71 percent of online shoppers in the country say that they feel safer while shopping on online marketplaces.

‘Poland stands out significantly’

The biggest online marketplace in Poland is still Allegro, but Amazon is in second place, after launching in 2021. According to the US-based ecommerce giant, is has invested more than 10 billion euros between 2012 and 2025. These investments were in infrastructure, jobs, support for Polish SMEs and the development of technologies.

“From a European perspective, Poland stands out significantly. It combines impressive economic growth, advanced technology, and entrepreneurs ready to compete on a global stage. That is why we are announcing our next investments here of over 5 billion euros between 2026 and 2028. Poland is already one of the world’s 20 largest economies, and Amazon intends to play an active role in strengthening that position”, says Mariangela Marseglia, Vice President of Amazon European Stores.

Investments in logistics and local solutions

The company has also announced that it is expanding its logistics network in Poland. Part of that investment, is the launch of a new fulfillment center in Dobromierz. The facility will be 200,000 square meters, operating with automation systems and 5,000 robots.

It is unclear when the new fulfillment center will be fully operational. But with this addition, Amazon now has 12 fulfillment centers in Poland. The company has also recently added local online payment method BLIK to the website, as it wants to invest in local solutions.
